I sought the Lord he heard my cry and he answered me. This is where my peace comes from. When I look at our current situation, our triple digit economy, rise in criminal activity like shootings and the social injustice. I have learned not to panic. I think quietly on the things of God. His promises to me. Things like” cast your cares upon me because I care for you, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you, Fear not for I am with you, I am the Lord thy God, and I changes not”. Direct promises from the Word of God is what keeps my mind at peace. One of the reasons I wrote the book my morning with God it's because during that time it's when I identified the need to seek God first thing in the morning when I open my eyes. I went through a time when I did not do this and it was like throwing my day to the wind. It was chaotic ,I felt like I had no control. And this was the norm so I became accustomed to it. Then I went through a period of trying to accomplish something that I know God directly gave me to do. So I went to him and I said OK so you're going to make me do this and I really need you to help me and need you to first send me the people that help me do this job and number two give me the mindset to help us all do it the way you want us to do it. It was at that point that he laid it in my spirit to do a daily devotional with myself and the people I directly supervised. The results were astonishing to say the least. God actually went above all that I could ask or think according to his riches in glory.
There have been times in my life where I wondered if God actually heard me. Then there were other times I would ask for something and he would do it almost immediately. What I came to realize was he was testing me. The test was to see that if I would still trust him and what he says in his Word and to wait on him. That's when I began to really rely on the scripture that says, “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength ; They shall mount up with wings as Eagles ,they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint that's Isaiah 40 :31”. My goodness when I got the realization of that scripture and how it applies to me, wow you just had to be there. The level of assurity, positivity and strength that it gave me was unsurpassed. Now according to the Word of God he has no respecter of person whatever he will do for me he will do for you. The question is are you willing to read the Word, believe the Word, then live the Word. My prayer for you today and for me as well is that we take the word of God and use it according to what he actually left it for us to do. The Bible, basic instructions before leaving earth. That's why it's here and that's why we need it.Be Blessed!!
