In the bible days, there were people called slingers who defeated the enemy by slinging stones and throwing Throwing dirt into wells. The goal was to contaminate their life source of water (2nd Kings 3:25). We all know people who sling accusations, judgments, and criticisms. If we look in the mirror instead of it others we could realize we have no room to be slingers for it could be us were it not for Christ. The Word tells us we have no room to judge. For with what judgment do we judge? We shall be judged. Instead of finding fault let's seek out the mercies, they are new to us every morning. Spending time with Christ Jesus in his word with prayer and supplication will fill us with contagious living water. When we studied the word we can examine ourselves by its content. Spending time with God in the word helps us to examine ourselves and determine whether we are living a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Because we are sinful in nature we will find places where we will come up short. Because we are using the correct measuring tool we will then be able to make the correct adjustments. The blood of Jesus where he actually died on the cross for us it's what covers our multitude of sins. None of us by any means are perfect. The good thing about it is God knows this he made us. The fact that we are not perfect does not surprise him. I truly believe what brings God happiness it's when we use his word to pattern our lives. Will we be perfect at it? No we will not be perfect but guess what he knows that too it is not a surprise. Let us pray.
Dear father in the name of Jesus we praise your holy name. There is so much turmoil, hurt, and sickness in this world today. I ask that you help us turn our hearts and mine back to you so that you will heal our land. Lord, give us the strength to endure and to do The things that we must do according to your will. Lord give us a mind to love each other and support one another daily. Today and every day create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us. Dear heavenly father our prayer today is that we not sin against you. That we have hearts, minds, and love for people. Father God we won't allow Satan to make us to sling accusations and hurt toward our sisters and brothers. Instead father we ask that you give us the heart for your people like you have. Father God, we give you all the praise we give you the honor and we give you the glory it all belongs to you anyway in your precious son Jesus' name we pray thank God Amen.
