My Morning with God-Ps. 65:4

Blessed is the man whom you choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

Being in God's word is one way to be close to him as well as praying. The more we participate in these actions the more we will want to. Why, you ask, because we were designed to want to be in his presence. In the presence of the Lord is the fullness of joy. If we believe this then it stands to reason that when we are not in his presence for a length of time we can begin to lose our joy. That's one of the reasons I love my morning with God. I can tell the difference in the way my day goes if I do not spend some quality time with God first thing in the morning. He is the one that needs to command my day. It only stands to reason that if I spend time with him then he will do as he promised in his Word. He tells me to cast my cares upon him because he cares for me. Now if he tells me to do this, then surely he intends to take care of not only the things that bother me or that I am worried about, he intends to supply all of my needs according to his riches in glory. I also find that when I spend quality time with him my faith grows. My belief factor remains huge. We must remember that evil lurks about on the earth and our protection is in God.

When I begin to structure my day by putting God first, I'll wake up thanking him when first, I opened my eyes, secondly, I'm able to get up out of bed by my strength that he has given me. No one must come and get me up. Bathed me or turn me. I've been a nurse for many years so I have seen a lot of sickness and death. Seeing this daily changed my perspective on the favor of God. It could so very easily have been me in those beds. It could have been one of my children. I have taken care of young people as well. God is faithful to me and I know he will remain faithful the question is will I be faithful to him? The only way that we can remain faithful to God is to remain in his presence as much as possible. Having our mornings with him helps to keep him in our minds and our hearts therefore he is dwelling with us throughout the day. I don't know about you but as for me, that's a win-win. At this point, I am prepared to take on whatever the day brings.

Dear heavenly father, you are such an awesome God and you are truly worthy of all the praise. We thank you father God for all the mercies that are new to us every morning. We thank you for your faithfulness in your love toward us. We thank you for your word in allowing us to spend time with you daily. We realized in our hearts that is a necessity to be with you for our spirit, which came from you, longs for your presence. We thank you that when we spend time with you our faith grows our spirit man becomes strong. Your Holy Spirit becomes strong and will lead us and guide us throughout our day. The love we have for you father grows stronger and stronger every day. We ask that you apply your angelic host around us and our families to keep us safe from the hands of the enemy. We in turn God will let people know what a great and wonderful God that you are. We intend to live and love people as only you would have us to. We thank you for your provisions. We thank you for your prosperity. We thank you for our family's unity. We ask that you continue to dwell with us and to help us make your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. We thank you for this time with you and we give you all the praise the honor and the glory because it is yours in Jesus' name we pray thank God Amen
