My Morning with God-Ps 41:10

Updated: Jun 20, 2024

Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Fear is something we all experience. It is part of life. Once we develop a relationship with Christ it is still there but we know that we are not alone in it. We are protected and covered with Jesus. He will be there to help us through the situations and battles we will encounter in our lives. The Word makes it plain that we do not battle against flesh and blood but against principalities in high places. It is as if God is giving us far warning to prepare ourselves for the impact! The fact that the God of all creation will be with us gives us a great measure of security when we build our faith in him.It does require a relationship with him to get to that place where we feel his nearness and the fear subsides. His love gives us a measure of peace that many can not understand.

As a nurse, I have had the opportunity to witness a lot of sickness, pain, and death. What I have noticed is the difference in people who have a relationship with Christ and those who don't. The difference is mind-boggling. There is a peace around them even in death that really does surpass all understanding. They go through all types of sickness and disease like anyone else can experience but there is a noticeable difference in the living through it. That is that promise in the scripture being put to the test.

Here are some practical tips that have worked for me to rely on God over the years.

  1. Start each day by acknowledging the Holy Spirit and surrendering to our need for God's Strength.

  2. Memorize Psalms 41:10 for future reference. Make it a part of your arsenal.

  3. When faced with fear and uncertainty, pause and meditate on the truth of this verse repeating it to yourself as a declaration of God's faithfulness.

  4. Seek opportunities to encourage others with the message of Psalms 41:10.

  5. Practice thankfulness and gratitude recognizing God's presence and provision in your Life.

  6. Take time to reflect on past experiences where God has proven his faithfulness and his trustworthiness, allowing those memories to increase your faith in his Promises!

Let's pray: Dear Father in Heaven we exalt you above all else and we thank you for loving us we apply your Word to our lives as a guide and a fortress in it. We give you all honor and Glory as it is due to you. We ask that you create in us a clean heart and renew a right Spirit in us Amen.
