My Morning with God- Numbers 13:30

30. Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, we should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.

The above passage of scripture was one from the message on this weekend at my church. But what I heard as I have been meditating on this scripture for a couple of days now is Access Unrestricted. When you read this entire passage of scripture You can see this scenario. God had delivered the Israelites out of the land of Egypt. He had covered them and shown them miracles and showed them favor and brought them right up to the land that he promised them. The Lord directed Moses to send some people up to scout out the area. Everything that he said would be there was there. When you read the scripture, you see that the grapes were so full and heavy that it took more than one person to carry them. The land was truly plentiful. The problem was some of them also saw the inhabitants. The people that currently had their promise were still there. So the question is whose report do we believe? Do we believe what we see Or do we believe what God promises us in his Word, in prayer, and in the prophetic. I had a really good time going back over this entire passage of scripture. I envisioned myself in the situation wondering how I would have reacted. As you read on in verse 33 they referred to themselves as grasshoppers. If I am, to be honest, there have been and probably will be situations in my life that I felt, or we'll feel like a grasshopper. This situation is bigger than mine. Like the situation stronger than, I am. Pressure and to be honest many times the situations have been bigger difficult in some individuals that's what may even have been stronger. Because but what I can truly say is that in my walk with the highest king, he has shown himself faithful and true. My faithful father has shown himself to be the entity I need to conquer anything he sends me to. I have learned that I can be assured that if he brings me to it he will bring me through it.

It is easy to observe this passage of scripture and be judgmental of the people that did not make it into the land that was promised to them simply because they did not believe the Word of God. If we are honest with ourselves, we have all been in situations where we had to build up our faith muscle to get to the promises of God. I am so thankful that Jesus came and died on the cross for us. His grace and his mercy it's what keeps some of us from getting that same level of punishment as the Israelites that were banned from going into the promised land. So, I caution us in our studying and observance of those scriptures that we take a lesson from it rather than sit in judgment. I intend to spend more time with God. What I suggest is that we spend time in our word with the highest God. In that secret place where we can hear him and learn from him. This is where our spirit grows strong, the helper that Jesus spoke about that he would send to us when he left to join the Father, fuels our faith muscle and makes it grow. Let’s pray,

Dear heavenly Father, we thank you for all you have in us. We appreciate all you have done for us. We appreciate even the scripture we read that shows us what can happen when we hesitate to believe our promises. We are grateful for the blood of Jesus that gives us grace and mercies. According to your Word, they are new every morning and we are appreciative. Lord God, we do not take it lightly that you foresaw all our needs. As we come to you today in prayer, we ask that you give us a mind and a heart to want to spend time in your Word with you. Give us a yearning to read your Word and sit at your feet to hear what you say to our spirits and our hearts. Dear heavenly father as we go about our day, we ask you to lead and guide us in truth. To make the divine connections that need to be made. To open the doors that should be opened but to also close the ones that need to be closed. We give you full permission to come into our lives in assist us as you see fit. We ask that you strengthen these muscles of faith so that we will not doubt you nor sin against you. we thank you for everything that you've done in all the ways that you have provided for us. We thank you father for how you care for our loved ones and our children. We ask that you continue to lead in God our extended family. We pray for all the young people father God than it being hurt abused and misused. Lord, we pray for the mind of the people. We are nothing without you and the quicker we acknowledge that the better we will be as a people. Father, we ask that you go into the schools take the angels of protection, and cover these young people as they go throughout their day. Dear heavenly father, we love you we praise you we give you the honor we give you the glory because it is all yours in Jesus' name, we pray Amen
