My Morning with God: Matthew4:8-11

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

This is the passage of scripture when a few verses before Jesus had been in the wilderness where he Fasted for 40 days. I can only imagine the hunger and thirst in the natural, however, his Spirit, well I can only imagine the strength and power he had gained from his Father our God. Is it not just like old slu foot ( a term my Dad called satan) to enter when he thinks Christ is at his weakest, not knowing he was at his peak for he had been with the Father? Guess what, he treats us the same way, but just as Jesus was able to draw strength from time spent in consecration with God so can we. I was in a room on Clubhouse the other day and the title was: Who told you to Talk to Me? Do you know what I learned there? I learned how to Shut Hell Up! Just like Jesus shut satan up because he had spent time with the Father so can we!

Before Jesus departed to return to the righteous right hand of the Father, he stated greater( more extradonary) things will we do. Yes, this includes us, we are now his disciples left here to continue his work. Jesus did all he was supposed to do, he lived before men, he died before men and he rose again. He left his Spirit for us, so when satan and his whatever comes against us we have the power to tell him to Shut up. As we spend time daily in the Word of God ( which is a necessity to getting the power) we are equipped to defy, deny, and defeat Satan. No weapon formed against us can nor will prosper. Knowing the Word was Jesus' weapon. Nothing can stand against the Word of God. My advice to us on this earth as believers is to have a Morning with God to set the pace of your day! With God in the front the waters (Life be lifing) have to separate so we can come through on dry land! Let's pray.

Dear Heavenly father we are so appreciative for your Word.We are aware that it is so valuble to our lives. Your Word imbodies your presence that why it is alive. I feel in my time I spend studying it,praying it back to you and encouraging others to do the smae. We worship you in Sprit and in truth. We ask that you continue to help us daily to show you to the World. We realize that we are up now, it is our turn to walk the walk and talk the talk.We are here to show you to our world. There is so much hurt,evil,disobedience, sickness and pain here. We know that you came so we might have Life and more abundant life. We claim the promises of the Word such as , we are the head and not the tail, we are above and not beneath, we are the lenders and not the borrowers.We belive that we have been given the keys of the Kingdom by you and that with your Might and by your Power we can bind and loose right here on earth and it will be so because you have said it is so.Our Love for you Father grows greater daily as we learn of you and we grow in Grace. We Pray this in your precious Son Jesus' Name thank you Lord Amen.
