In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1
This powerful and magnanimous verse from the Gospel of John reminds us of the eternal nature of God and His Word. Before time began, there was God ! Before the world was created, the Word existed. And not only did the Word exist, but the Word was with God and was God Himself.
This verse speaks to the divine nature of Jesus Christ, who is often referred to as the Word in the Bible. Jesus is the embodiment of God's Word, the living expression of His truth and love. Just as a word spoken reflects the thoughts and intentions of the speaker, Jesus reflects the heart and character of God the Father.
As we meditate on this verse, let us be reminded of the power and authority of God's Word. It is not just a collection of words on a page, but a living, breathing force that has the power to transform lives and bring about change in this world.
May we approach the Word of God with reverence and humility, recognizing that it is a direct reflection of the very nature of God Himself. Let us allow the Word to speak to us, to guide us, and to shape us into the image of Christ.
And may we forever remain mindful that in the beginning, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Let us hold fast to this truth and allow it to anchor our faith and hold our hope in the one who is the Word made flesh, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord and savior, the Father and finisher of our Faith , we come boldly to the throne of Grace honoring you as the all mighty God of the universe. There are none before you nor greater than you! I come to you now as your child. I request your favor and guidance over my life and the lives of my children. Your Word will I cling to and speak into existence daily for in your Word lies the promises for my life. Help me to redeem the time and renew my mind. Create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right Spirit. You are forever my Lord and my Savior. In Jesus name I pray Amen!
