My Morning with God: Jeremiah 22:29

Jeremiah 22:29 says, “O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.” As a 63-year-old nurse and life coach, I, Catherine, reflect on this verse with a heavy yet hopeful heart. For decades, I’ve witnessed people’s struggles—physical, emotional, and spiritual. This plea from Jeremiah reminds me of the urgency to listen to God’s voice amid the chaos.

The repetition of “earth” feels like God calling us to attention. Like the land suffering from neglect and abuse, our souls ache when disconnected from His will. As caregivers, we often pour out without refilling our spirits. Today, let’s pause. Let’s hear His Word—not just with our ears but with our hearts.

God’s truth is unchanging. Whether we face personal trials or societal turmoil, He calls us to obedience and accountability. Let us honor Him by nurturing not only others but also our faith. May we be reminded that healing begins when we truly listen to His voice.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your enduring love. For all your care and direction provided through your Word! As we go about today I ask that you allocate your Spirit to guide us into your will on this earth! We ask that you create in us a clean heart and renew a right Spirit within us. In Jesus name Amen.
