Be not decieved God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.
This is a scripture for us Christians. It reminds us of the sovereignty of our Lord. We need to remember he really sees and knows all. He is a loving and forgiving Father however he is also our corrector. He cant be circumvented or fooled. He literally knows what we are going to do before we do it. His Word is sovereign and can not be wrong. If he says it ,it simply is so. Now this works for us in obedience but against us as we practice disobedience. Learning that we reap what we sow was a lesson I learned early in life. The way we treat others is a way of sowing. If we treat people with love and kindness this is what is returned. It also works in the opposite. We should never worry that others who misuse us or treat us unfairly will get away with it with no repercussions. God misses nothing he sees all and knows all and when he says vengeance is his it’s because it is best left in the hands of the one who knows all sides of the situation. To allow us as humans to have control of vengeance is like letting a 5-year-old drive a car, a catastrophe waiting to happen. We are too imperfect that is why I said it is best left up to God. Please no that this teaching is for me as much As for anyone else. I am so thankful to God for the time in the mornings that we spend together where he helps me to identify my faults, helps me with my corrections, forgives me, and loves me unconditionally. It definitely feels like being corrected by a loving parent. I know for myself as an individual I long for God's hand in my life both for encouragement and for correction. During my time with him he lets me know that he sees me completely for who I am and all my faults, but he yet loves me. In this I can find my way. Without time with Christ, I couldn't find my way out of a paper bag. My goal for this devotion today is that you value time spent with the Lord every day. We need him in order to thrive, and survive. It is said that life is unkind to the unprepared and I agree with that statement to the extent that we should prepare to the best that we can within our power. Part of that preparation is spending time with God daily. Let's pray.
Dear you heavenly father as we come before you today prior taxes for anything we want to thank you for being the awesome and wonderful God that you are. We want to thank you for the many blessings that you stored upon us we want to thank you for the mercies that you make new for us every morning. While we don't take you for granted we know that your word is valued among all things. In that your word does not come back to you void it will do what you said it will do. We are mindful that what we sow we shall also reap. We ask that you created us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us for we do not want to sin against you father. We thank you for your loving guidance in your way of correcting us when we are in the wrong. We realized that we need a southern God to help keep us in line. We realized father God that we are encased in flesh which is naturally sinful. So on that note we know that we must feed our spirit with your Word and your presence daily so it becomes stronger than our flesh. We thank you in advance for continuing to lead and guide us every day we praise you continually like you've already done it and father God know that we hold you in the highest esteem and we trust you implicitly in Jesus name we pray this prayer thank God Amen.
