My Morning with God- a Cor 4:16 NIV

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."

In this passage, the Apostle Paul offers profound encouragement to believers facing trials and tribulations. The contrast between the outward and inward realities captures the essence of our human experience. While our physical bodies may be subject to decay and the burdens of life, there is a deeper, spiritual renewal taking place within us through the Spirit.

The "outwardly wasting away" speaks to the inevitable decline that comes with aging, sickness, and the challenges of life. It’s a reminder of our mortality and the transient nature of our physical existence. Yet, Paul shifts our focus to the "inward renewal," which is a daily work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. This renewal is not dependent on our circumstances but is a promise of God’s presence and grace.

Every day brings its own set of challenges, but it also brings new mercies. The promise of renewal encourages us to seek God each day, to immerse ourselves in His Word, and to engage in prayer. It’s in these moments that we are rejuvenated, strengthened, and equipped to face whatever comes our way.

We should not lose heart .Paul's exhortation to "not lose heart" is especially poignant. It acknowledges that discouragement and despair can creep in when we focus solely on our external situations. However, by fixing our eyes on the eternal and the unseen—God’s love, His promises, and the hope of glory—we find the strength to persevere.

Let us Consider the areas in our lives where we may feel weary or discouraged. Bring those before God in prayer, asking for His renewing power. Reflect on ways we can cultivate a deeper relationship with Him—through worship, scripture, or community. Remember that while our physical bodies may decline, our spirits can flourish in Christ.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of renewal that You provide each day. Help me to not focus on the struggles I face but to seek Your presence and strength. May I find encouragement in Your Word and the hope of eternal life. Renew my spirit daily, and help me to share this hope with others who may be feeling weary. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right Spirit in us In Jesus’ name, Amen.

### Closing Thought:

As we navigate the complexities of life, let us hold onto the truth that God is at work within us, renewing our hearts and minds. We may be wasting away outwardly, but inwardly, we are being transformed into His likeness, day by day.
