My Morning with God

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7 (ESV)

Introduction: In the Gospel of Matthew, we find a powerful and encouraging verse that has inspired countless believers throughout the ages. In Matthew 7:7, Jesus provides a simple yet profound message that holds the key to a deeper and more fulfilling relationship with God. It's a call to action, a promise of provision, and an invitation to seek Him with our whole hearts. Let's explore this verse and discover the spiritual treasures it holds for us.

Asking: Seek the Father's Will Jesus begins by saying, "Ask, and it will be given to you." This is an invitation to come to God in prayer with our needs, desires, and concerns. It reminds us that our Heavenly Father is not distant but intimately involved in our lives. However, our asking should align with God's will. When we seek His will and pray in accordance with it, we can be assured that our requests will not go unanswered.

As we ask, let's remember that our Father knows what is best for us. Sometimes, what we ask for might not align with His divine plan. In such moments, we can trust that He has something better in store for us. Our role is to seek His wisdom and guidance, surrendering our desires to His loving and perfect will.

Seeking: Pursue a Deeper Relationship The second part of the verse says, "Seek, and you will find." Seeking goes beyond asking for physical or material needs; it's about seeking God Himself. To seek God means to pursue a deeper relationship with Him, to know Him more intimately, and to understand His character and His ways.

When we seek God with all our hearts, we discover the richness of His presence and the depths of His love. It's not just about receiving answers to our prayers, but about discovering the One who answers. The journey of seeking God leads to spiritual growth, wisdom, and a closer walk with Him daily.

Knocking: An Invitation to Relationship The final part of the verse states, "Knock, and it will be opened to you." This is an invitation to enter into God's presence. When we knock, we signify our willingness to engage in a two-way conversation with our Heavenly Father. It's not a one-sided request but an invitation for Him to be an active part of our lives.

When we knock, God opens the door of fellowship, communion, and relationship. We can bring our joys, sorrows, questions, and praises to Him. In His presence, we find comfort, guidance, and the assurance of His love. Knocking is an act of faith, trusting that God welcomes us into His presence whenever we seek Him.

Conclusion: Matthew 7:7 is a beautiful reminder of the active and loving relationship we can have with God. It's a call to ask for His provision, seek His presence, and knock on the door of His fellowship. As we live out this verse in our daily lives, may we draw closer to our Heavenly Father, understanding His perfect will, deepening our relationship with Him, and enjoying the rich blessings of His presence.

Let's 's allow this verse to be an encouragement to us today. Approach God with confidence, seek Him with a sincere heart, and know that He eagerly awaits our presence. He is ready to respond to our requests, reveal Himself to us, and welcome us into His loving embrace. Seek, ask, and knock, and experience the abundance of His grace and love.
