My Morning with God: 2 Chr 20:12-17

12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

13 All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD.

14 Then the Spirit of the LORD came on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.

15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.

17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be.

I wish more people had been able to hear the message on this Sunday from Pastor Leslie Eno. This woman preaches the Word so you begin to see yourself in it! We delved into this passage of scripture about Jehoshaphat and how he went to God about a pending invasion. The story goes on to tell how God delivered them. The portion that sat on me was 1, Jehoshaphat did nothing but go to God in faith. 2. Tell God how great he is and remind God of what he has done for them in the past 3. Worship God for his goodness in Spirit and Truth. Could this be the recipe to bring God into our situations? I know he wants to intervene on our behalf as evidenced by the numerous invitations from him in his Word such as 1st Peter 5:7. Read it and let it sink in. God went to great lengths to make a path to deliverance and to help us weave our way out of the mess done by the behaviors of men ( and women) in our past. 1. He sent Jesus to show us how to live on earth even with satans interference. Then he allowed him to die on the cross to pay for our sins even though he was without sin. Then he rose on the 3rd day having conquered all including death and hell. Finally, he went back to sit at the right hand of the Father to plead for us and sent his Spirit back to live within us. Did I cover it all?

When I hear messages like this I realize how we underutilize the resources that we have been given. We have it all. We are the apple of the almighty God's eye. He wants to give us everything to further the kingdom, health, wealth, and success. But he has a strategy and we must follow it to succeed. He is the creator and he knows best. Let's submit to his guidance and succeed in all areas.

We will all go through trials thanks to Adam and Eve, they open the portal with disobedience but we have an escape route that the Holy Spirit will lead us through. God in his infinite wisdom set us up for success as long as we do it his way. As the creator, I think he knows best. Let us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father your Word brings us such instruction and direction We thank you for your love and guidance and tender mercies that you renew every Morning according to Your Word. We as your children trust your divine leadership and we follow you without question. I say this as I speak all into existence in the almighty name of Jesus Amen.
